<image:title>About - Thanks for stopping by. Here’s a little bit about me (pronouns: she/her)…</image:title>
<image:caption>I’ve been teaching yoga since 2018, creating warm, inclusive spaces where students can honor the roots of yoga while making the practice their own. As a *Buddhist practitioner, I infuse my offerings with the heart of the dharma — teachings of compassion, presence, and interconnection — inviting students to move, breathe, and rest in ways that meet their needs, always grounded in the knowing that we are already whole. I offer group classes, private sessions, corporate events, retreats, and workshops — each shaped by themes of collective care, equity, and belonging. I'm a experienced yoga teacher at the 500-hour level and a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (E-RYT 500, YACEP), with advanced training in **meditation, trauma-sensitive yoga, body-positive yoga, and embodied activism. My professional work in public health and anti-racism deeply informs how I teach and hold space. I am the Founder and Lead Trainer of Kindred Path Yoga School where I have the privilege of training and credentialing new yoga teachers. Kindred Path Yoga School is a Registered Yoga School (RYS) through Yoga Alliance. Information about my YTT program can be found here. I’m also the co-founder of Inner Light Community Center, a rental space supporting facilitators in bringing forward their most creative and meaningful offerings. If you’d like to collaborate, learn more, or hire me, please feel free to reach out. I have deep gratitude for my lineages and teachers. My meditation practices and teachings have been passed down to me by teachers in: *Kagyu School of Tibetan Buddhism **Sri Vidya Tantra Yoga, Himalayan tradition, and Kripalu Yoga</image:caption>

<image:title>Weekly Classes - Weekly Classes - Vinyasa Flow</image:title>
<image:caption>I teach three movement (asana) classes weekly. Vinyasa flow is a practice linking breath and movement. It’s a dynamic practice meant to build heat in the body and increase strength, mobility and balance. I teach a class called “be basic” on Tuesday nights 6pm and Saturday mornings 10am at Be Yoga in Marietta. This 60 minute class is geared towards those new to vinyasa flow. It’s taught at a slower pace and includes lots of cuing to support optimal alignment. I also teach a class called “be hot” at 6am on Thursday mornings. This 60 minute class is a heated vinyasa flow class meant to build strength and endurance and is a wonderful way to start your day! While it’s open to all levels, some yoga experience is recommended. In-studio and livestream options are available. Register for these classes here.</image:caption>

<image:title>Pop-Up and Workshops - Holding What Hurts: Anger, Rage & Moral Injury. Meditation & Community Circle. Sun. April 12th, 4-5:30pm</image:title>
<image:caption>Many of us are carrying anger and rage in this moment. When we witness or experience violence, lack of accountability, and the erosion of shared ethical principles, anger can arise as a natural and morally responsive emotion. This 90-minute community circle is an invitation to come together for honest, brave conversation about anger, rage, and moral injury and how these experiences are living in us right now. The circle will begin with a short dharma talk and guided meditation to help ground the space. From there, we will move into facilitated community dialogue focused on reflection, witnessing, and shared inquiry. This is not a space for bypassing or fixing difficult emotions. Instead, we will explore how anger and rage can be held with care and without being suppressed, projected, or turned against ourselves or one another. This circle approaches anger and rage as normal, human responses to harm, and invites us to consider how we metabolize these emotions in ways that support connection, integrity, and meaningful action in the world. No prior yoga or meditation experience is required. This is an accessible entry point for those new to meditation, as well as those familiar with contemplative practice. The intention of this circle is to help participants feel less isolated in their responses, and more supported in navigating what it means to stay human in a painful and complex time. When: Sunday, April 14th, 4-5:30pm Location: Inner Light Community Center, 5150 Stilesboro Rd NW, Suite 320, Kennesaw, GA 30152 Investment: $25. Please bring a journal and a pen. If cost is a barrier, contact me and I will register you on my end.</image:caption>

<image:title>Pop-Up and Workshops - Moon Flow: A New Moon Yoga Practice Fri. April 17th, 6-7:15pm</image:title>
<image:caption>Join me for a 60-minute evening yoga practice aligned with the energy of the new moon, a time traditionally associated with inward attention, rest, and renewal. This class will begin with a Moon Salutation flow. Moon salutations are a slower, more cooling alternative to sun salutations and are often practiced to support receptivity, balance, and ease. Following the flow, we will transition into a cooling pranayama practice and a brief guided meditation to support stillness and integration. This class is open to all levels and offered as an invitation to slow down, turn inward, and practice in rhythm with the lunar cycle. When: Friday, April 17th, 6-7:15pm Location: Inner Light Community Center, 5150 Stilesboro Rd NW, Suite 320, Kennesaw, GA 30152 Investment: $25. Bring your yoga mat (extras are available). <image:caption>Join me for an evening of deep rest as we blend the gentle practices of restorative yoga and yoga nidra. This 90-minute class includes 60 minutes of restorative yoga, where props are used to support and hold the body, promoting profound physical and mental release. We’ll conclude with a 30-minute guided yoga nidra, an ancient meditative practice translated as “dynamic sleep.” This practice cultivates a state of non-doing, allowing us to release deep-seated tension and emerge feeling lighter and deeply nourished. When: Sunday, April 27th, 7-8:30pm Location: Inner Light Community Center, 5150 Stilesboro Rd NW, Suite 320, Kennesaw, GA 30152 Investment: $30 and space is limited. <image:title>Retreats - Tides of Joy: Yoga and Meditation Retreat, Vieques, Puerto Rico, June 14-19th, 2027 - INTEREST FORM OPEN</image:title>
<image:caption>Join Christina Rodriguez, E-RYT 500, YACEP and Melba Payan, RYT500, YACEP, two Puerto Rican yoga teachers, for a six-day immersion in practice, rest, and joyful connection at the beautiful Finca Victoria retreat center on the island of Vieques, Puerto Rico. Perched on a hill surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, Finca Victoria is a sanctuary designed for healing and deep rest. The sounds of the island accompany daily life here: warm ocean breezes moving through the trees, the rhythmic song of the native coquí frogs, and some of the clearest night skies in the Caribbean. The absence of light pollution reveals brilliant fields of stars. This retreat is an invitation to remember something essential. In the yogic tradition, our deepest nature, the Self that abides beneath the changing waves of life, is luminous, whole, and naturally joyful. Yet in the movement of everyday life, that quiet joy can become obscured by stress, obligation, and the constant pace of modern living. Tides of Joy offers space to step away from the noise and return to the steady current within. Through daily yoga practice, meditation, breathwork, and time in nature, we will explore joy not as something we must chase or manufacture, but as something that is already present. It is a natural quality of the heart that becomes visible when we slow down enough to feel it. Like the tides themselves, this retreat will honor both movement and spaciousness. Each day will include guided yoga and meditation practices along with generous free time to rest, explore the island, enjoy the retreat center’s spa offerings, or simply sit beneath the palms and listen to the wind moving through the trees. Optional excursions may be offered during the week, including opportunities to experience Vieques’ famous bioluminescent bay. Together we will practice, laugh, rest, and reconnect with the land, with community, and with the quiet joy that lives within us. Retreat Highlights • Daily yoga, meditation, and community circles with Christina Rodriguez and Melba Payan • Six days and five nights at the beautiful Finca Victoria retreat center • Nourishing meals prepared on site • Spacious schedule with time for rest, exploration, and spa offerings • Optional island excursions This retreat is open to practitioners of all experience levels who feel called to deepen their relationship with practice, nature, and joy. We are committed to creating a welcoming and respectful community for all participants. This is an LGBTQ+ affirming space and people of all gender identities, sexual orientations, and backgrounds are warmly welcome. To support accessibility and planning, retreat tuition will be offered through a required monthly payment plan, allowing participants to spread the cost over time. Practice on sacred land. Listen to the tides. Remember the joy within. Space is limited to 20. We have received a lot of interest so if you would like the FIRST opportunity to register, please complete the form below!</image:caption>

<image:title>Retreats - Resourced: Practices for Sustainable Care , Yoga and Meditation Retreat. March 11-14th, 2027 - SOLD OUT, WAITLIST OPEN</image:title>
<image:caption>Join Christina Rodriguez, E-RYT 500, YACEP and Julie Newton, RDN, LDN, 200RYT for an intimate four-day, three-night women’s retreat at the beautiful Thanksgiving House at Elohee Retreat Center, nestled in the mountains of North Georgia. How do we cultivate enough inner and relational resources to care for ourselves and the world in sustainable ways? Resourced is a yoga and meditation retreat designed to explore how we sustain ourselves, individually and collectively, in a complex and demanding world. When our nervous systems are depleted and our attention scattered, it becomes difficult to care for what matters most. This retreat offers an opportunity to slow down and reconnect with the practices, relationships, and inner capacities that help us feel supported, nourished, and steady enough to meet life with wisdom and care. Surrounded by forest, a waterfall, and mountain air, we’ll also explore the ways that the natural world can support and restore us. The land itself becomes part of our practice, reminding us that resourcing is not only internal but relational. Through mindful movement, breath practices, guided meditation, time in nature, and reflective conversation, we’ll explore what it means to be resourced. Resourcing is not something we achieve alone, but something we cultivate within ourselves, with one another, and in relationship with the living world. Together, we’ll draw from the wisdom of yoga philosophy, the subtle body, and nourishment practices to support clarity, resilience, and compassionate presence. Together, we will: Explore somatic resourcing practices that help us recognize and return to the supports already present within our bodies and nervous systems Experience the regulating power of nature through a guided forest bathing practice Reflect on food as relationship, exploring nourishment not as control or perfection but as connection to body, community, and the earth that sustains us. Experience collective resourcing and co-regulation through shared practice, community circles, and intentional time together. Please note: Resourced is a women’s retreat, created as a nurturing space for those who identify as women to rest, reconnect, and be in community together. This gathering is LGBTQ+ affirming and welcoming. This retreat is SOLD OUT. Please complete the form below to be added to the waitlist!</image:caption>

As the season turns toward quiet and reflection, we’ll gather in community to explore practices that support deep listening, inner steadiness, and compassionate presence. Through grounding movement, guided meditation, restorative rest, and shared reflection, we’ll gently turn inward—honoring the wisdom that arises when we make space for silence. This retreat is an invitation to pause, exhale, and come home to the quiet within. Together, we will: Honor sacred silence each morning (Saturday & Sunday through 10:00am) to offer spaciousness to busy, overwhelmed minds. Embrace stillness as sacred with guided meditations and gentle breath practices. Rest deeply with restorative yoga and yoga nidra, inviting nervous-system regulation and profound restoration.
