Kindred Path Yoga School
2026 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training Program
-
Small Cohort
A small cohort (max 12) allows for meaningful mentorship, personalized feedback, and ample time with both lead trainers. We intentionally keep the group intimate so you feel seen, supported, and genuinely prepared to teach. The training begins with a 6-day residential retreat at Elohee Retreat Center, followed by four months of weekend modules, check-in Zoom calls, and abundant practice teaching so you leave feeling confident and ready to lead.
-
Trauma-Informed
Rather than treating trauma awareness as a bonus topic, we weave a trauma-informed lens into every aspect of the program, from sequencing and cueing to group facilitation, philosophy discussions, and the training environment itself. You’ll learn to create classes that honor agency, choice, and nervous system regulation. This approach is especially valuable for those teaching in community settings or to the general public, where students arrive with diverse life experiences.
-
Holistic
This training is designed for those drawn to yoga as a way of living, relating, and serving. We offer a balanced, comprehensive curriculum rooted in yogic philosophy, meditation, and embodied practice. You’ll gain confidence teaching vinyasa flow while also practicing restorative, yin, and yoga nidra. With a strong emphasis on meditation inspired by both mindfulness and tantric traditions, our program supports a deeply integrated and holistic understanding of yoga.
6-day residential retreat at Elohee Retreat Center, August 13-18, 2026
At Kindred Path Yoga School, our 200-hour yoga teacher training is intentionally designed to feel intimate, grounded, and deeply supportive. We begin with a six-day residential retreat at Elohee Retreat Center, nestled in the peaceful North Georgia mountains. Surrounded by forest, a waterfall, and quiet, this immersion offers the spacious environment needed to slow down, connect inward, and begin building the foundation of your teaching practice.
During the retreat, you'll stay in the cozy and welcoming Thanksgiving House, with comfortable accommodations that support a focused, immersive week of study and practice. All meals are included, thoughtfully prepared, and customizable to most dietary needs, ensuring you feel nourished and well cared for throughout this intensive training experience.

FAQs

There’s no perfect level of flexibility, experience, or practice frequency required to begin. What matters most is a genuine curiosity, a desire to learn, and a willingness to engage deeply with your own growth. Yoga teacher training is a significant commitment of time, energy, and resources, and it’s best suited for practitioners who feel ready for a layered and transformative study of yoga.
You do not need to know whether you want to teach professionally. What matters is that you feel called to explore yoga beyond the physical postures and are prepared to participate fully in the training process.
If you feel drawn to this program—even if you can’t yet articulate why—we’d love to connect. We encourage you to schedule a brief discovery call so we can support you in discerning whether this training is the right fit for you at this time.
-
Yes. A book list will be provided upon enrollment so you have everything you need for the year ahead. The list includes texts that support yoga philosophy, anatomy, subtle body studies, trauma-informed, and accessible yoga foundations.
You’ll have plenty of time to gather the materials, and not all reading will be required before training begins. We highly encourage you to support your local bookstore and libraries! -
A trauma-informed lens helps us understand how people encounter yoga, not just physically, but emotionally, energetically, and through the nervous system. It gives teachers tools to approach the work with greater awareness, empathy, and ethical responsibility.
This approach matters because it supports you in:
Recognizing the diverse life experiences students bring into the room
Creating spaces where agency and choice are centered
Teaching in ways that reduce harm and increase safety
Understanding how stress and dysregulation show up in the body
Offering practices that support resilience rather than overwhelm
A trauma-informed foundation doesn’t change what you teach as much as how you teach. It cultivates the capacity to meet others with respect, attunement, and care—qualities essential for anyone stepping into the role of teacher or guide.
-
We intentionally keep the group small (9 –12 trainees) to preserve intimacy, personalized mentorship, and meaningful relationships. This allows for deeper dialogue, nuanced feedback, and a supportive community that carries through the entire program.
-
The training begins with a 6-day residential retreat at Elohee Retreat Center in North Georgia, followed by weekend modules at Inner Light Community Center in Kennesaw, GA. We will also meet periodically via Zoom.
-
Yes, by the time this cohort begins, we expect to be a Registered Yoga School (RYS) with Yoga Alliance. Graduates will be eligible for RYT-200 status upon completion.

About Us
At Kindred Path, we believe yoga is a shared journey—one walked side by side in mutual respect, curiosity, and care. Rooted in community and guided by the wisdom of yogic tradition, our 200-hour program honors the diversity of each student’s path. “Kindred” speaks to spiritual kinship and belonging; “Path” reflects the ongoing, evolving nature of practice. Together, these words reflect our values: inclusivity, humility, and a commitment to walking this path together with intention.
